CLS Live is held annually and showcases projects, service developments and initiatives from across the whole range of library and computing activities that take place in our department.
In June 2008 the department of Computing and Library Services (CLS) ran its first Poster Promenade, the idea was an internal staff development activity to showcase the work of the various teams to staff within CLS. The event proved successful and so the CLS Poster Prom thus became an annual event in the university calendar and was opened up to staff and researchers from the seven university schools, support departments and Vice Chancellors office.
In 2014 the Poster Prom was re-branded CLS Live! a natural progression for an event that started off with an internal focus driven by senior management to a peer led experience with an external university wide focus. The re-brand hopes to represent more fully what attendees can expect from the showcase. Like the Poster Prom, CLS Live is an opportunity to publicise innovative projects, initiatives and service developments taking place within Computing and Library Services.
