This video shows the new sickness reporting procedure for the University. It shows the action(s) you must take as a People Manager, but also shows what the employee and the Absence Administrators must do to give an overview of the sickness reporting process from start to finish.
When a member of staff contacts you to inform you that they are unable to attend work due to sickness, you will need to record this in iTrent.
This video shows the steps that you should follow in order to record this sickness absence.
When a member of your team has returned to work after a period of sickness absence you should carry out a return to work meeting. This meeting will need to be recorded in Itrent.

Employees should now be requesting all annual leave via MyHR. When they do so, you will receive a notification of this request and you will need to either approve or reject the request in iTrent.

If a member of staff that reports to you will be changing their working pattern, or going in to a none working period, you will need to update their working pattern in iTrent. It is important that this is done as if the working pattern is incorrect, then their annual leave entitlement may not be calculated correctly.

If you will be out of the office for more than a few days (e.g. annual leave) then you may need to add a task redirection. This will redirect annual leave requests and sickness absence notifications to a colleague so that they can handle them in your absence.
