Participants must have built their basic module content and be familiar with the basic functionality of Brightspace.

To familiarise participants with the methods of communication within Brightspace and the benefits it can afford staff and students. To supply learners with the hands-on skills needed to effectively use these tools.

Following the session, participants will be able to:
- state the benefits of the effective use of Brightspace communication tools
- use the Email, Instant Messaging, Announcements and Staff Information tools in Brightspace effectively
- understand how the automation of emails may reduce administrative overhead and improve student engagement
- discover the benefits of personalised communications.
