Continuous Professional Development (CPD) as a Chartered Manager

As a Chartered Manager, you will need to evidence effective annual CPD. The CMI Code of Practice for professional managers states that adherence to the code, which includes an ongoing commitment to self-development, is a fundamental requirement of CMI membership.

Where can I find out more about CPD?

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a commitment to your professional development, necessary to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. CPD encompasses learning through a range of resources and activities. For more information, please visit the CMI webpage on CPD.

How should you record your CPD?

As a Chartered Manager you are required to keep a record of your CPD. We recommend you take advantage of CMI’s online CPD system. This system makes it easier for you to record your learning objectives and activities and enables you to generate a personalised report of your development. If you would like to know more about how to use CMI’s CPD system, please contact the Chartered Manager Team via email: or tel: 01536 207307.
