What is ECDL?

ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) is an internationally recognised standard of competence in IT certifying that the holder has the knowledge and skills to use the most common computer applications efficiently and productively.

The aim of the ECDL programme is to ensure consistent levels of IT ability throughout the University, to reduce reliance on IT support and to improve the productivity of staff using PCs.

 What do we offer?

We offer 7 ECDL modules. Each module contains its own mock and certification exam. In order to gain your ECDL certification you will need to successfully complete all 7 modules each with a pass mark of 75%.

 What you will study:

  • IT Security
  • Computer Fundamentals
  • Word Processing
  • Spreadsheets
