Staff Learning Lunches
The Occupational Health Department host a series of health and wellbeing sessions for staff. There will be one or more sessions per month during term time, each on a different topic related to health and wellbeing. We have a variety of topics so hopefully there will be something for everyone.
Here is what we have coming up...
March: Ovarian Cancer Awareness
Come and hear Ovacome volunteer Gill Kelly describe her experience. What she thought were symptoms of the menopause turned out to be ovarian cancer. Now she has recovered and raising awareness has become an important part of her life. She talks about the impact of her illness on her work and her family.
Ruth Grigg from the Ovacome charity will also be talking about the signs and symptoms, risk factors and when you should visit your GP.
The session aims to give people information and confidence so they will seek help if they ever need it. So come and talk to Ovacome, ask us questions, learn more and support our work.
April: Pad Attack for Stress Awareness Month
April is Stress Awareness Month so we have teamed up with Team Hud to provide a Pad Attack session for staff. Come and train with Damarni who will teach you how to use a punch bag correctly in order to release pent up stress.
