Staff Photo Competition: Fun in the Snow
The latest Staff Photo Competition from the Occupational Health Department was ‘Fun in the Snow’. Due to the inclement weather in February, we wanted to see what you had been up to in the snow. Building a snowman and throwing snowballs, or had your pets been enjoying the snow?
The winners of the competition were Rachael Haigh from the School of Computing and Engineering, and Mark Beardall from Estates Services.
Well done to Rachael and Mark, and thanks to all those who entered. You can see all the entries below:
Laura Broadbent (Library)
This is our new puppy, Doug, enjoying his first experience of snow. His favourite things about snow are destroying the snowdogs we make, chasing snowballs, and making yellow snow!
Lianne Stennet (Research and Enterprise)
Snow angel in the park with my dog 😊
Mark Beardall (Estates Services)
Fair to say that Joshua (5) is a bigger fan of the snow than his younger brother Zachary (1) who preferred the chocolate hobnobs and hot chocolate to warm back up!
Luke Brunning (Computing and Library Services)
My son Alex, making snow angels. Alex is autistic and whilst he has had some schooling through lockdown, keeping him entertained when he is at home is quite a challenge! This snow day was a very welcome distraction…
Gordon Morris (School of Applied Sciences)
A great family walk in snowy Penistone.
Lorraine Horton-Smith (School of Human and Health Sciences)
Emma Wray (Estates Services)
The geese which seem to be on campus every day, in the snow!
Rachael Haigh (School of Computing and Engineering)
This is Pepper the border Collie who is snowball obsessed!
Sarah Bassett (School of Human and Health Sciences)
Feeling how we all feel, the upside snowman was built by my sons Stan (8) and Reg (7)! The other photo is of our dog Bertie, taken above Harden Moss Reservoir, he loves diving into the snow drifts!
Kirsty White (Financial Services)
This is my boy with ‘the girl he is going to marry’ apparently! Nice to see that even in the midst of a global pandemic true love can flourish!
Liz Greenough (Human and Health Sciences)
A photo from my walk locally in the snow.
Vikki Hart (Human and Health Sciences)
Amanda Firth (Human and Health Sciences)
Here’s Hugo, a 10 week old sausage dog experiencing snow for the first time.
Hollie Baines (Human and Health Sciences)
This is our rescue dog Jack, enjoying zoomies in the snow.
