Staff Book Club
The Occupational Health Department have set up a regular book club for staff, reading and discussing a variety of books. The book club is open to all staff and meets every 4-6 weeks, and is currently held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Books are all available as e-books from Kirklees Library, and are ‘simultaneous use’ titles, so there are no limits on the number of people who can borrow and download them at the same time. Staff are obviously also free to order themselves a hard copy, buy a copy for their kindle, borrow a copy from a friend or find a hard copy in their local library.
Our next book club is being held on Monday 13th September 2021 12-12.45pm.
We are reading A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki:
'A triumph...Ozeki explores what it means to be human in this moment, right now. Her novel is saturated with love, ideas and compassion. In short, an absolute treat' - Sunday Times review.
