Once you have finalised your costings with the Pre-Award Team, we submit the costing through PAPA for internal approval.
- Firstly, you can give your approval through your SuperUser.
- It will then come back to the Pre-Award team for approval.
- Then it will be routed for Peer Review if this has been set up.
- Finally, it will be routed to your Dean for approval.
Once it has been given Dean approval, you then have authority to submit the proposal to the funder.
Electronic Submission Systems
A lot of funders now require you to submit your proposal through an electronic submission system.
For each of these you will need to register first.
For the Research Councils the system is called Je-S.

These systems require institutional approval before being accepting the proposal. You should make sure that you have left enough time for the institutional approvers to read and approve your application. The institutional approvers are Jacqui Pybus or Sarah Green. As they may be on holiday, it is better to pre-warn us that you are planning an application.
