Research Fish

The research councils have harmonised on a web-based system called Researchfish to collect information on the wide range of outputs and outcomes from their funding. Researchfish was previously used by MRC and STFC, as well as a number of other funders, while AHRC, BBSRC, EPSRC, ESRC and NERC used a system called ROS (Research Outcomes System), which closed in April 2014. As part of the move to Researchfish, Research Councils have also harmonised on a single framework called the Common Question Set, which covers outcome types for all disciplines.
