Offering information about Higher Education in general, and Huddersfield in particular
As students decide that Higher Education is for them we work closely with schools and colleges to offer advice about the application process, and explain how the system of loans and grants works (with help from our colleagues in student finance). We also try to ensure that we capture details of everyone who responds to our efforts by encouraging them to register with iHud, to receive up to date information from us, when they need it. During this stage we provide information and invite students to various events including:
- Open days
- UCAS fairs
- Taster days or focus days
- Send out prospectus
- Hand out subject specific brochures at open days and visits
- Provide information via iHud
- Give detailed information on courses, facilities etc via the website
We also work with parents/carers and teachers/advisers (who have their own version of iHud), though events in Schools and here on campus.
