Schools and services action plan

As part of on-going website developments, the University is focussing on developments in the area of search engine optimisation (SEO). These developments include a number of actions that can be carried out when creating new webpages and also applied to existing webpages.

The actions, known as organic SEO, will help the University to improve its ranking within search engine results pages such as Google when people enter certain search terms. The University’s central e-Marketing team has already carried out research to identify central keywords and phrases that have been applied to all pages on the website, however it is the responsibility of the individual schools and services to ensure that the pages they own have been optimised for search engines.
