Ranking

Once you have identified your keywords, you need to find out how the University of Huddersfield ranks for those keywords. This can be done by using the SEOBook toolbar. By using the tool Rank Checker, you can add multiple keywords into the search box and the tool then gives you a ranking for those words. This is your benchmark as the likelihood is that the University website will not rank for many keywords as we have not done any previous keyword activity.

As well as finding out the ranking for individual keywords/phrases, you can also find out the overall PageRank® for individual pages. This gives your page a ranking out of 10 based on the SEO activity that has been carried out on the page.
