High value biorenewables enterprise fellowships
Mon, 03 Feb 2020 15:10:38 GMT
The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, under the High Value Biorenewables Network’s flexible fund, invites submissions for its enterprise fellowships. These enable an individual to pursue research ideas and translate them within the scope of the high value biorenewables network fund.
This can be through developing intellectual property ready for licensing or exploring spin-out companies or any other suitable mechanism to ensure the research idea is commercialised. All projects must focus on the discovery, development and utilisation of high value, low volume bio-based chemicals, tools and platform technologies.
Applicants must be HVB members and the principal investigator must be resident in the UK and an academic employee at the lecturer or equivalent level at an eligible organisation, which may be a higher education institution, a research institute funded by a research council or an independent research organisation. Fellowships must be undertaken within a UK HEI and at the end of the fellowship, applicants must intend to commercialise the project within the UK.
Fellowships are worth up to £70,000 over one year.
