Sickness Absence

 

Sickness Reporting Procedure

This video shows the new sickness reporting procedure for the University. It shows the action(s) each person must take to give an overview of the sickness reporting process from start to finish.

Who do I call when I am absent?

On your first day of absence from the University, you should call your Line Manager or one of these designated numbers to inform your colleagues that you will not be coming in to work due to ill health.

Return to Work

This video shows the steps you should take to correctly update your sickness absence record once you have returned to work.

Annual Leave

The videos below provide guidance on how to use MyHR to Request a period of Annual Leave, make a change to an existing annual leave request, and how to cancel a period of annual leave that you no longer want to take.
