What is this course about?

The VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP functions in Excel can be used to find items in a table or range of data arranged in rows. For example, find an employee name based on their employee ID. In this session, learn how to merge and extract data using the VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP functions in Excel.

Details of any pre-course/programme requirements

Some knowledge and experience in the use of Excel is recommended.

Objectives

Here is what you can expect by attending this course:
  • An understanding of the VLOOKUP function and its limitations compared to XLOOKUP.
  • Knowledge of how to extract data using VLOOKUP
  • Knowledge of how to merge data using VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP.
