What is this course about?
A dynamic and interactive programme designed to provide researchers with the tools and skills to help them become immediately more effective working in, and with, external organisations. Participants will learn about career routes in external organisations to access the jobs they want and gain know-how that lets them collaborate and engage more confidently. The programme is designed to be highly relevant to their area of research, while fitting in with their busy schedule and giving them the opportunity to work with their peers.
Using case studies, we’ll highlight the importance of their expertise to the non-academic world and show practical examples of how researchers can engage with organisations. They will develop professional and transferrable skills, learn a framework to develop relationships and build meaningful links with external organisations.
