What is this course about?

Understanding Deaf Awareness is crucial for fostering inclusive communities. Deafness encompasses a variety of hearing experiences, and each individual may face unique communication challenges. Learning basic sign language and exploring Deaf culture can significantly improve interactions with people who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

Techniques such as lip reading and effective communication strategies can help bridge gaps and foster meaningful connections. It's important to recognise that individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing have diverse talents and can excel in all aspects of life.
