Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships - Information Session for Supervisors

Who is this course aimed at?

Researcher Only
Academic Staff
Mid - Senior Career Researchers

What is this course about?

This is an information session for academic/research staff who would potentially be interested in supervising a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellowship candidate. The session will detail the internal application process for Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships, focusing on the funding scheme rules, candidate eligibility, and expectations of supervisors, as well as details of the support you can receive from Research and Innovation.

Participants will gain practical insights into the role supervisors play in shaping an application to the MSCA scheme, empowering them with the knowledge they need to best support fellowship candidates and increase chances of delivering a successful bid.

The webinar will introduce a package of information resources and provide an opportunity to meet some of the Research and Innovation team who will co-ordinate submissions to the MSCA scheme in September 2026. The webinar will be recorded and made available shortly after the webinar.

Details of any pre-course/programme requirements

There is no requirement to have supervised an MSCA application before, but colleagues who have previously been named as supervisors on a bid are also welcome to attend to refresh their knowledge.

If attendees would like to know more about MSCA Fellowships more generally, we recommend this external webinar by the UK Government Horizon Europe Hub: UKRO 2025 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships Information Webinar.
