Academic Staff who may be nominated to act as internal examiners for research degree candidates at our University and have not previously undertaken internal examiner training, or completed their training over three years ago.
What is this course about?
This mandatory course outlines the role of internal examiner for research degrees at our University. Participants will learn about the duties and responsibilities of an internal examiner in the PhD examination process. The course will also cover how to handle irregularities and difficult situations that may arise during examinations.

1) You are required to watch the Brightspace PowerPoint before attending. The link is found in the documents section below. If you experience any problems in accessing the slides, please contact it.support@hud.ac.uk.
2) You are required to attend the session within 6 months of watching the PowerPoint.
