What is this course about?

In this lively and interactive workshop participants find out how to connect with people, network effectively and learn techniques for a variety of relevant settings. Learn a systematic approach to networking and making connections whether it’s in person or online. We’ll look at conferences and think about first impressions, how to manage small talk as well as practical tips on introductions, how to start and finish conversations and arranging to follow up. Learn tactics to build useful, reciprocal relationships whoever you’re speaking to and find out how to maintain contacts, increase your network and set your own networking goals.

This workshop is delivered by external training provider, Skillfluence, funded by the University’s UKRI Impact Acceleration Account Programme.
