'AI in Action' is a series of four short, practical sessions on the different ways that staff at the University of Huddersfield can utilise Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude and Microsoft Bing Copilot as part of their day-to-day work, as well as the risks and guardrails individuals will need to keep in mind when using this technology, such as data privacy, bias and the potential for spreading misinformation.
Our first session, 'AI in Action: Solving Problems' explores how professionals working in different services at the University of Huddersfield can begin identifying what aspects of their work GenAI tools may be able to help with, and how to decide which tools might be best placed for this task, as well as using the University's AI Principles (https://students.hud.ac.uk/studies/ai/principles/) to determine if using GenAI is the right choice for the problem you are trying to solve and what the possible implications could be of choosing to use this technology.
The session is 30 minutes long and will involve a live demo of different GenAI tools and prompts, as well as the opportunity to ask questions to the presenter throughout.
