What is this course about?

The course introduces the new university framework: STUDENT DRUGS AND ALCOHOL HARM REDUCTION POLICY AND FRAMEWORK.

Delivered by specialist partners from Kirklees drug and alcohol support services (Change Grow Live), It is an interactive session that aims to build awareness around harm reduction. Looking at how staff can explore Harm Reduction in a practical way with students, it will include information on how to refer students to support.

Objectives

Here is what you can expect by attending this course:
  • Consider how staff can practically explore harm reduction with students
  • Enable staff to know how to refer students to support
  • Enable university staff to build awareness on the impact of alcohol and drug use and how this affects our students.
