Understanding Conflict

Who is this course aimed at?

All University Staff

What is this course about?

In all our areas of work, we encounter conflict. This course helps us define conflict and understand its different stages. It provides a safe and confidential space to discuss conflict. We will explore common causes of workplace conflict and its impact on people and performance. By analysing real-life conflict situations, we will identify effective strategies for handling and resolving conflict. Please bring an example of a conflict you have experienced; while we may touch on sensitive issues, this is a safe place for open discussion.

Details of any pre-course/programme requirements

Please bring with you an example of conflict that you have experienced. "Real life" examples really bring the situation to life, much more so, than a prepared example. Discussions about the examples you bring will be confidential.
