What is this course about?
Getting your work on social media may be easy, but making it popular is more challenging. This workshop takes participants through the main social media channels and looks at how to create short, sharp, shareable messages. Discover how to use social media to foster meaningful interactions and share research with as many people as possible. This constantly evolving workshop considers the fast-moving nature of social media, featuring up to date case studies and examples

About the facilitator
Jamie Gallagher is an award-winning engagement professional specialising in impact narratives and evaluation. Working across dozens of institutions and subject areas he has improved the reach, profile and impact of research engagement in almost every academic discipline. Jamie has been involved in public engagement with research for over a decade. He has experience as both a central engagement lead for a research-intensive university and as an independent consultant and trainer. Jamie is also a science communicator, delivering interactive shows around the world. He has written a pop sci chemistry book and been featured on TV and radio.
