Academic Misconduct Training

Who is this course aimed at?

Current Academic Misconduct Officers (AMOs) or academic staff who wish to volunteer as an AMO as part of their role.

What is this course about?

This is relevant for both UGT and PGT academic staff. The presenter will cover all 3 areas of the academic misconduct procedure, investigative tips and best practice and evidential and paperwork responsibilities. The training session will also cover misuse of AI tools which have led to a breach of the academic misconduct regulation.

Objectives

Here is what you can expect by attending this course:
  • AMOs should feel confident with how to investigate a case from Stage 1 – 3 and how to appropriately escalate or conclude a case at any one stage
  • AMOs should feel more informed about how to address the misuse of AI tools within an allegation of academic misconduct
  • Learn to manage evidential and paperwork responsibilities
