What is this course about?

Step inside the Richard Steinitz Building and discover an extraordinary world of music.
Explore some of the University’s most impressive music rooms and facilities and see what awaits our students behind these walls. From dedicated practice rooms and professional recording studios to sound booths, rehearsal spaces and percussion studios, there’s so much more to uncover.
This is truly one of the UK’s best equipped environments for contemporary music study and performance. Join the tour, experience the facilities for yourself, and enjoy the music that will surround you.
Please arrive by 1:25pm.

Objectives

Here is what you can expect by attending this course:
  • A behind the scenes look at professional music facilities you wouldn’t normally see, including practice rooms, studios, rehearsal and performance spaces.
  • A real sense of student life in the Richard Steinitz Building and how these spaces are used day to day.
  • Inspiration from seeing industry standard equipment and environments in action.
