What is this course about?

This session invites you to use collage as a creative approach to thinking about your career as a researcher. Take the opportunity to step away from your usual workspace, do something different, slow down and get a new perspective on the question ‘what do I want from my research career?’ Explore your purpose, what matters, what you need and what you are looking for from your career – and connect with other researchers in the room who are also thinking about this.

No previous experience or artistic skills required! This session is particularly aimed at Early Career Researchers (ECRs) but any academic researchers are welcome to attend.

Objectives

Here is what you can expect by attending this course:
  • 1. Reflect on your researcher career, drawing on a creative approach to help connect to your inner wisdom and intuition
  • 2. Gain some insight into what you want from your future research career
  • 3. Consider actions/next steps
