What is this course about?

Explore the challenges faced by students with disabilities when accessing digital content. Learn about the assistive technologies they use to support their learning and understand how design decisions can impact their access. Gain insights into the various barriers to learning and how to address them. Discover ways to create more inclusive digital content. Enhance your ability to support all learners effectively.

Objectives

Here is what you can expect by attending this course:
  • Acquire the knowledge to identify and recommend assistive technologies that support students.
  • Develop an understanding of the barriers to learning faced by students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs).
  • Gain the ability to make adjustments when creating digital content to ensure it is accessible with assistive technologies.
