What is this course about?
This session is part of the Research Funding series from RIKE and supports the development theme ‘your research practice’. The series will inform academic researchers about the various stages of the path to obtaining funding for their research and managing successful awards. Each session will focus on a different aspect of research funding and colleagues are welcome to book for a specific session, or the full series of five.
This session focuses on the third stage of the journey: preparing the application for research funding. It includes guidance on viewing the proposal from the reviewer’s perspective, interpreting funder guidelines, understanding and completing the application form, navigating the funder and peer review process, and knowing who to contact for further questions.

Gain knowledge about the funder and peer review process and whom to contact for further assistance.
Learn how to view and improve a research proposal from a reviewer's perspective.
Understand and interpret the guidelines provided by funders and explore the application process.
