Who should attend? 

Managers or staff members who do not use the Unit4 Finance System but who would like to understand what the system is capable of.

 

What is the session about? 

This overview course outlines facilities available within the Unit4 system and their usage. Contents include:

• View the ‘look and feel’ of the Unit4 software
• Be able to identify what the system is capable of

Unit4 Web-based Requisitioning

 

Who should attend? 

This is an entry level course for University staff who are responsible for raising purchase order requisitions.  

 

What is the course about? 

The course aim is to demonstrate raising a purchase order requisition for goods/services and to enter details regarding goods received into the accounting system in accordance with Financial Regulations. Contents include:

• raise a purchase requisition
• enquire on a requisition workflow status
• print/e-mail a purchase order
• record the receipt of goods and/or services

Unit4 Web-based Requisitioning and E-Market Place

 

Who should attend? 

This is an entry level course for University staff who are responsible for raising purchase order requisitions and E-Market place requisitions.

 

What is the course about? 

The aim of the course is to raise a purchase order requisition for goods/services, to enter details regarding goods received into the accounting system and raise orders using the E-Marketplace in accordance with Financial Regulations. Contents included:

• raise a purchase requisition
• enquire on a requisition workflow status
• print/e-mail a purchase order
• record the receipt of goods and/or services
• raise a purchase requisition via the E-Marketplace
• search the E-Marketplace for suppliers and products
• use a product or catalogue code to quickly add the item to your basket
• set orders as favourites to quickly add to basket
• make a request for quote

Unit4 Sales Order Processing

 

Who should attend? 

An entry level course for University staff responsible for raising sales invoices/credit notes.

 

What is the course about? 

The course aim is to enable staff to raise a sales invoice/credit note from the accounting system in accordance with Financial Regulations. Contents include:

• raise sales invoice and credit note requisitions
• print sales invoices and credit notes
• enquire on a sales order

Unit4 Purchase Card Process

 

Who should attend? 

For University staff who are responsible for the coding of Purchase Card expenditure.

 

What is the course about? 

The Online Brightspace course aim is to enable staff to charge purchase card expenditure to the relevant line of budget and subproject. Contents include:

• process purchase card transactions electronically
• code the expenditure appropriately
• enter information for the budget holder against a transaction

Unit4 Enquiries

 

Who should attend? 

Unit4 system guidance, outlining facilities available within the system and their usage.

 

What is the course about? 

Demonstration of how Unit4 can be used to design enquiries and reports to improve management information on the WEB and desktop/back office Unit4.  To be able to identify what the system is capable of.

Contents includes:

• make the most of the 'Field Help' enquiry facility
• use the enquiry options to find information about transactions
• design and save enquiries
• use the enquiries to monitor actual expenditure against budgeted expenditure
