University Research Group (URG)
The University Research Group (URG) is responsible for strategic and policy matters in relation to all aspects of research. The Group is also responsible for the ongoing development and management of research. The Group meets every other month and reports to the University Research Committee.
The role of the University Research Group is:
- To co-ordinate the ongoing development and management of research;
- To discuss emerging issues, policy matters and initiatives and to co-ordinate action to respond to them;
- To provide an active forum for continual interaction in research between the Schools and the University Executive;
- To advise the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research and Enterprise;
- To guide the work of the University’s administrative and support services in ensuring that agreed priorities in research are properly reflected and supported.
