Exploring Educational Gain
Monday 16 June 2025, Oastler Building
We define educational gain as the experiences we provide that make a difference to our students’ lives, enriching and accelerating learning and personal development beyond what otherwise might be achieved.
The Teaching and Learning Conference 2025 is the place for University staff and invited guests to share the ways that you identify, explore and encourage educational gain within your practice.

The University of Huddersfield Teaching and Learning Conference returns in June 2025
Programme highlights
The Conference programme includes two keynote presentations from Dr Helen May, an independent consultant who has worked with AdvanceHE for many years, and Dr Bob Gilworth who returned to an academic role at the University of Huddersfield in 2020 having previously led the Careers services of several institutions including here at Huddersfield. This year, we have nearly 40 workshops and presentations to choose from in which colleagues from across the University will share their recent work and innovations.
