Using data from the Students’ Union, this workshop allows participants to explore their understanding of the make up of the student body. By considering demographics and using anecdotes to enrich the data we will explore the challenges that students face.
The first part of this session will be delivered with an interactive quiz, thanks will my will to better understand our students and the challenges that they face in engaging with higher education.
The second part of this session will provide space for discussion to allow all participants to understand how they can affect change within that own sphere of influence to help to remove barriers to engagement, and better enable students’ engagement during their time at the University.
Built into the second part of this session is the opportunity for colleagues to both identify and plan to take action relating to the content of the session.
